Behind Design Strategy: Our Founder, Anterleena

Shining the spotlight on the brilliant mind behind Picassocial – Anterleena Maiti!

Anterleena embarked on her design journey with the prestigious NIFT, Kolkata, where she mastered all possible techniques, developed skills and learnt to creatively apply them in real time situations. After graduating she delved deep into the real world, and dropped anchor at a renowned multi-national design agency. The plethora of work she was exposed to nurtured her to be a more perceptive designer. Few brands she had the opportunity to work with: Aditya Birla Group, Inker Robotics, The India Story, Ministry of Textiles, Bosch, Columbia Sportswear, Facebook, Red Bull, Sterling Holidays, Nikon, Reliance, Future Generali, ToysRUs, Titan and much more.

Having experienced various sides of the industry – be it interning at one of India’s top start-ups, leading teams at an award-winning design agency or doing projects for the Government of India, she had gained diverse experience. But there is no end to learning, thus she opened herself towards a new journey at Loughborough University London. Pursuing postgraduation in Design Innovation opened her eyes towards a multi-cultural dimension of the design industry that helped her align her design thinking interest with her previous skills.

This ever-evolving field of design, stirred the creative universe running within her, and her unfathomable love for strategic thinking saw multi-dimensional execution. She started working in the UK and European markets across multiple industries and here her process oriented methodology, backed with a balanced mix of aesthetics and functionality had seen practical translation of impactful brand narratives. Her understanding and sensitivity towards balancing artistic and real-world considerations had multiplied manifold and started leaving creative footprints wherever she went. She worked with Pentagram for Transport for London, NHS, Fabriano, Urge Collective, Parle Agro. Made-With, Ruffino, Lingua Franca, Hutch Games, Cherish PR, Wilful, Ekla DDR, Mauli Rituals, Nick Hart, Evolve Beauty, John Laing, Essilor, Svedka, Sublime Magazine, Belle Memoire, Musikexpress and loads more.

She was now envisioning how she could make a difference in the market and thus the holistic design culture of her country. In a world where borders often separate us, Anterleena wanted to break down those barriers with her multicultural mindset. Her exposure to world history, culture, traditions have influenced her immensely, which reflects in whatever she delivers. With her passion for picas-perfect designs and a keen eye for weaving impactful brand narratives, Anterleena knew she had a unique vision to share with the world, conveying a message, evoking emotions, and connecting with the audience on a deeper level. She wanted her designs to resonate the brand essence, captivating hearts and minds alike. And thus, Picassocial was born! It’s not just a creative agency; it’s a haven for turning imaginations into reality and leaving a lasting impression.
